 "Love Frosted Rice Krispies" 2008-11-19
By Dezmond E. Stinson (Reston VA)
This cereal is no longer available in most areas and I don't know why.

I found it ONE time in South Carolina, but that was it. I am so happy to know that I can get my order delivered from Amazon on a regular basis and I never have to LOOK for it again!

My husband grew up on it and eats it almost before the next delivery, but not quite!

Thanks AMAZON

"Love this hard to find cereal!!!" 2008-10-15
By MandyNMe (Audubon, PA)
Okay, this is not for the health nut freaks. But sometimes, you just have to enjoy something. That's how my family feels about the Frosted Krispies. Their not too sweet, just right. Our whole family of five enjoys these, ages 54 to 7.

"get some today and ignore the diet debacle for a while (three and one-half stars)" 2008-03-16
By Matthew G. Sherwin (last seen screaming at Amazon customer service)
Kellogg's Frosted Rice Krispies Cereal is absolutely scrumptious! Sure, it's all in the sugar (smile); but once in a while you can give yourself a treat. It may be a better alternative to nothing for antsy kids who really didn't want any breakfast before school. As long as you eat these before the expiration date stamped on the box they will be delicious!

The cereal is indeed fat and cholesterol free. That's great. The cereal contains no trans-fats--that's even better! There are 27 grams of carbs in each serving; so please be careful of that although on the other hand it's only about 9% of your daily limit for carbs as suggested by the government. Each serving of this cereal also has 25% of your recommended daily intake of Iron, Niacin, and Vitamins B12 and B6.

Unfortunately, as you probably guessed by now, there's a price to be paid for all this. The cereal has sugar--18 grams of it when served in milk! If sugar is a dietary issue for you, consult your doctor before eating any of this cereal. There is no calcium at all in this cereal; and that's a disappointment. Sigh.

After all is said and done, this cereal tastes great and it's a pleasure to eat--especially in the morning when you may want a pleasant, sweet start to a tough day ahead. However, the dietary issues do cause some concern; and I will take off one and ½ stars for this issue. Of course, life still is rather short however you slice it--so get a box today and treat yourself now and then! You'll enjoy it!

OMG! I have found sugar-covered gold again! I used to order these from Hometown Favorites and then they had a few issues with security. But now, I can feast upon the cereal of my childhood joy. As it is unfindable in Philly or anywhere close to it. Snap! Crackle! Pop! I love this cereal! Amazon is officially KING!

"Best Blueberry Cereal On the Shelves!" 2009-07-23
By Ashlee
I usually have to coax myself into eating blueberries, but this cereal is the best way to get me to throw a handful into my cereal... it is just sweet enough to cut the bitter taste. It is also very tasty alone, but becomes a bit grainy in the bowl as it goes soggy. I would definitely recommend you give it a try.

This cereal has a horrible chemical taste to it that I cannot get out of my mouth. Two bites into it and I threw it down the drain.

"This cereal is gross. Don't buy it" 2009-05-18
By Carole W. Saucier (Manchester, CT USA)
I was excited to try this cereal as the Red Berries Special K (strawberry) is quite good. The blueberry is not only disappointing but disgusting. It simply tastes like chemicals. The first bite is gross and then the aftertaste kicks in. There are no blueberries in here like the strawberries in "Red Berries". They seemingly replaced them with some sort of synthesized blueberry chemical that is embedded in the flakes. This cereal is barely edible. I don't know what they were thinking or what humans actually tested this. GROSS.

Would give it no stars but I don't think they let you do that.

 "Great flavor" 2009-04-25
By James King (Chicago)
I like regular Special K but it's a little bland. This stuff is great. I can eat it over and over and never get bored with it. It's got just enough blueberry to give it some life but it's not over powering.

 "Special K Blueberry" 2009-02-23
By Kelly Walsh (Holland, PA)
I thought this was going to be like the special k blueberry I had while I was in italy, but it is nowhere close! This only has little flakes of blueberry in it and it is way too sweet. I looked at the ingredients and it says: sugar, high fructose corn syrup, misc partially hydrogenated items - I though that this cereal is supposed to be good for you, but that is definitely not the case

 "My daily breakfast" 2009-08-20
By Randy Goldberg (Yonkers, NY, USA)
Tastes exactly the same as regular Special K, with the bonus of added protein. I had gastric bypass surgery, so I'm always worried about getting enough protein in my diet; this allows me to continue my lifelong breakfast routine (cereal and milk) without adding protein powders (which mostly taste awful). The four-pack lasts me just over a month, and it costs just about the same as the grocery store - it works out to about $3.43 a box, as opposed to the $3.49 I pay in the grocery store (I'm an Amazon Prime member, so I don't pay shipping) - so I don't ever have to worry about running out.

"One of the better low carb cereals" 2009-04-28
By D. H. Schmid (Maryland)
This is one of the better low carb cereals I have tried. I eat it most everyday with some splenda and unsweetened almond or soymilk. Great for low carb diets. I think it has a nice flavor. One poster noted that it was not as sweet as other Special K cereals. That's the point, less sugar, less carbs. You can always sweeten it to taste with splenda or other low/no carb sweetener if you so desire.

 "Smart Start Cereal" 2009-06-07
By Zatoichi
Love the taste, stays crunchy with milk added for awhile. I like it like that. Me and my daughter eat it every other day. With any cereal everyday is too much. Variety, variety...

Has little clusters of I guess would be oats.

Tastes sweet so I think the "healthy" wise people may put this in the category of not so healthy. But it does taste good.

Just check out what is in this stuff. Why can't these corporate types get it right. Americans want healthy foods. Why is it so hard to get rid of high fructose corn syrup. Why? Well until they get it right I will go the companies that do.

This cereal surpassed my expectations. It's crunchy and delicious, with different textures of flakes and nuts. I think I even tasted a roasted pecan in there! Makes a great afternoon snack, as well as a part of breakfast. (I have to add some kind of protein with my morning meal, or I'll be hungry within a few hours....)

 "Very Tasty!" 2009-06-23
By J. Villeneuve (Newtown, CT USA)
This cereal is a little on the sweet side (17g sugars) and I find it best mixed in with something like GoLean (6g sugars) or other less sweet cereal. The Maple Brown Sugar flavor is pretty "accurate". It is not over-done and super sweet/fake tasting. The serving size is a nice 1 1/4 cups so you get a good amount for your 220 calories and 6g protein. The 5g of fiber is also pretty good.

Overall, a pretty healthy and tasty cereal!
