I bought two of these kits because they were free with the purchase of Smart Start cereal. I figured that I could finally get my husband to test his cholesterol. I can't get him to go to the doctor for anything. I'm in pharmacy school and they require us to know how to administer all kinds of different medical tests. I figured this would be simple to do and send off and find out what his cholesterol was for free. When you mail off the sample, you have to pay various fees for them to check the blood sample. If I remember correctly it was $15 or $20 depending on how many tests you wanted ran on the blood. I find this to be a rip off because I can go to the doctor for $20. I haven't used the kit due to this yet. I did open it and read all of the information. It is very user friendly and doesn't require much blood, just a dot of blood from your finger.

They send you kit and envelope and they want money for test. What a rip off. useless junk for what ever money they charge. I got for free but still it was unnecessary junk that I got in shipment. Beware.
Again, they send you blood testing kit, you draw blood and send them sample with money for testing.

This is the best cinnamon raisin cereal I've ever had (and 'ever' is a l-o-n-g time for this old gal!) which in addition to excellent flavor, soft raisins, just the right amount of cinnamon, and flakes that don't get soggy is just superior to anything out there. I had never tried this product before seeing it on Amazon, but thought I would give it a go. It is good, tasty, and stays crisp in milk without getting instantly soggy. I like cinnamon and raisins in just about anything for breakfast, so this just added to the quality of the product for me. Overall, it is equal to other products on the market like it, but appears to have better vitamin and health benefits.

I like my cereal soft; but this one may go too far. Many cereals I'll let sit awhile so the milk is absorbed and the crispness goes out -- OK, I'm that way.
So if you're a person who likes your cereal crispy and snappy, avoid this particular one. It'll give you bits and pieces of mushy oats long before you can finish the bowl. But... if you really, really like mushy, go at it.
However, this one leaves a pile of residue that is just a little bit much.
Tastes good, though. Nothing spectacular.

I love the cereal and opted to purchase in the single servings in large quantity for convenience in bringing it to work, which was also less expensive. The single serving size also assured portion control, as it's so easy to kid yourself that you're eating less than you actually are.
Unfortunately, the home delivery didn't work out so well for me. I placed my order and watched the delivery date. I even checked the porch when I got home the day before it was due to arrive - and again later in the evening. The next morning as I left for work, what do I find but the box of cereal. The box had apparently been delivered very late - after 7:30 p.m. - and had sat out on the porch all night. It had been a very wet spring and early summer up to that point and we get very heavy dew overnight. I don't know if the deliverer was running abnormally late or if it was misdelivered to someone else, who put it on my porch in the very late evening - who knows?
Hoping for the best, I've now had about 5 boxes and I think I'm just going to throw it all away and chalk it up to a loss. The cereal just doesn't have the typical crispness of the large boxes and the consistency is unappealing. Unlike the larger boxes sold in retail stores, there is no "sell by" date, so I don't know if the cereal is past it's shelf date and stale or the night spent in the great outdoors affected it. Though I can't imagine (especially after watching "How It's Made" on TV), perhaps the cereal for the small individual boxes is made differently - but in any event, I'm unwilling to give it another test and will return to buying the regular multi-serving sized boxes of the cereal at the grocery store.
Bottom line, I usually like this cereal quite a lot, but this order was a real disappointment. I debated over the rating, as I truly believe the early delivery undetected by me affected the quality of the product and the review is about the product, not the delivery. However, this particular shipment of cereal is not good - and I ultimately decided the product and the delivery was a 2 at best. Edible, but barely.

I work super early in the morning and frequently had not been eating a good breakfast. When I found these, I discovered they were awesome to grab right before I left for work so that I could eat a little later in the morning. I know I am being a lot more healthy now by not skipping the most important meal of the day :).

I was nervous about ordering this based on other reviews showing damaged containers. But I really like this cereal and decided to take a chance. Luckily, my order arrived intact and unscathed.
The description says 2.7 oz cups, and happily they are on the big side. I measured it out and it comes to just over a cup and a half. About what I would be eating for breakfast anyway.
The actual cup itself is thin plastic (think cottage cheese container) and it has a foil top that is easy to peel. They thoughtfully left room to add milk.
With 3 kids in sports, I keep some of these in the car for snacks, as well as a few at my desk at work. We all love them.
If you time it right, Amazon will run their twenty dollar discount on Kelloggs, which makes these cups very affordable.

It's a really convenient and quick way to get some healthy food into you. My 60 cups arrived undamaged despite being thrown into a large box for shipping. Update: My latest shipment had hairline cracks in two containers so the milk leaked out. Now when I add milk I do it in the sink just in case there is a crack.

Don't bother buying this product. The price is nice as a solution to buying breakfast everyday at work, but the cheap containers that kelloggs is using now suck. 5 out of the 60 boxes I received were damaged and food was all over the box it was shipped it. The price was worth it with the discounts kelloggs offers sometimes but losing 8% of the amount paid for ruins the value.

In all fairness to the product, it has met the American Heart Association approval for foods that may lower cholesterol. However, partially hydrogenated oil is used in its ingredients. What's up with that?
Overall I highly recommend this cereal! Not too sweet, the taste is perfect and I am partial to oats. It's worth a try. Too bad it is not available in individual bowl servings like the antioxidant version.

This cereal is a little on the sweet side (17g sugars) and I find it best mixed in with something like GoLean (6g sugars) or other less sweet cereal. The Maple Brown Sugar flavor is pretty "accurate". It is not over-done and super sweet/fake tasting. The serving size is a nice 1 1/4 cups so you get a good amount for your 220 calories and 6g protein. The 5g of fiber is also pretty good.
Overall, a pretty healthy and tasty cereal!

Smart Start Healthy Heart is one of my two morning cereals I mix together the other being Cinnamon Streusel Mini Wheats.
