Kellogg's Rice Krispies with Real Strawberries is great cereal. I have it not just for breakfast but also as a mid-afternoon snack or late night snack! They were very clever to add strawberries to the Rice Krispies cereal.



The taste is just right--the cereal itself is not too sweet; it's not as sugary as other cereals are. In addition, they do use natural strawberries and this works well. The overall taste is fantastic. One reviewer writes that the strawberries are tart--but only very mildly. They enhance the flavor of the cereal anyway you look at it.



Of course, this cereal is not a substitute for any vitamins your doctor may have wanted you to take. There is sugar; and although the fat content is comparatively low, sugar converts to fat inside your body if you don't get enough exercise. Go slow on this cereal if you have diabetes or any other dietary restrictions. In these cases you may want to ask your doctor or nutritionist first before eating this cereal.



The cereal stays fresh until its expiration date which is always at least several months off into the future.



I highly recommend this breakfast cereals. It's one of the better ones out there.

I love this cereal and can't always find it, so I'm happy with my purchase. I was very disappointed, however, to find this was the small sized box of ceral. It is advertized 10.5 oz. but I didn't realize that equated to the small sized box (my fault). I'm not sure I would have ordered this had I recognized that because I don't think there was any savings with this purchase. Since I like the cereal so much, I can live with that. Just be aware of the size when you are deciding whether you want to purchase it.

I tried this Amazon Grocery as an experiment because they had a $20 off coupon for $50 in purchases. I know the kids love the Krispies and got them some. The cereal came in a big box, the contents where okay - though dinged around the edges, and the shipping time was a little slower than I usually get for packages. There is certainly nothing wrong with the food here - but when I compared the cost to the local grocery store I saw a huge price difference. If you can be patient, certain cereals always seems to go on sale and this is one of them. Just yesterday I saw 3 17.5oz boxes for $6.00. Wow.



Since the idea is to save on costs from volume purchasing, the idea failed. Without the coupon, this food buy was not a good deal at all. One by one I saw all the products offered and all the ones I bought become sale items that were significantly less expensive - we're talking in the 45% range here. I suppose, if you are in a remote area where the gas cost would eat the savings of finding a good price, this would be a decent service. But anyone in a suburban or urban setting will get a better deal at the Kroger's or Ralphs than this.

Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies taste great both in milk and as a snack with milk or any other beverage you like. Kids will love how the chocolate slowly turns the milk in the cereal bowl to chocolate milk, too! The cereal is reasonably priced and it comes with a good expiration date so it won't expire the minute it enters your household. SMILE



Moreover, this cereal is low in fat, offers no trans fats (HOORAY!), no cholesterol, and the 120 calories per serving is low, too. It's even "Certified Kosher" if that matters to you. Excellent!



However, this cereal is not the most nutritious cereal you can buy; and for this reason I can only give it four stars. Yes, it is very low in fat, calories and cholesterol; and it doesn't have too many carbohydrates, either. Unfortunately, however, Cocoa Krispies does contain sodium and it just doesn't offer enough POW in the vitamin department. It has sugar; and sugar turns into fat if you eat enough of it. Be careful--there may be more fat than there would seem to be in this cereal!



Overall, this breakfast cereal is understandably popular with children and it's great for the kid in all of us. It is low in fat and there is no cholesterol; there are no transfats either. The price is reasonable, too. However, it could be more nutritious. As breakfast cereals go, this one will certainly suffice. However, parents who want a highly nutritious breakfast cereal for their children will have to look further.

I buy these to save money in the long run, because the children tend to waste more if they use larger boxes. Unfortunately, the cereals packaged in their own bowls seemed to be used more in our house and I will probably go back to those once these are gone. All in all, they are good, and if they were a different variety (say, fruit loops) that could be snacked on a little easier they would probably have used them as a carry along snack food.

This is my favorite cereal. I used to eat it when I was younger but was unable to find it until about a year ago on Amazon. I have ordered the 4-pack a couple times now and have not received any that were close to being expired. These are by far the best Rice Krispies and maybe even one of the best cereals. I have been able to find it at the Super Walmart stores but the price per box is cheaper with a 6-month subscription.

First off i was a bit weary due to other reviews sayin the cereal was expiring soon. My cereal came packed very well, 4 boxes of beautiful rice krispies treats cereal which didnt expire for about 8 months. opening the first box was epic...those first big chunks were huge! and despite shipping the cereal was in great condition. Now, as someone who eats cereal once maybe twice a week, i tell you this. all 4 boxes were gone in a week. This cereal is simply AMAZING. childhood memory lane. i ordered frankenberry and booberry afterwards too, but this cereal is 10x better then both. Fortunately, i found a specialty store which carries this cereal :) but had i not, i would be spending alot more money on amazon.

I've been on the hunt for this cereal for the last 5 years to no avail. The kellogs rice krispies website didn't even acknowledge its own product. Until finally one day I saw it on amazon, and it was like a miracle. I started to read all of the reviews and got a little concerned when I saw complaints about it being expired. But I had to try it out for myself, this was my last chance to eat this cereal. Im eating a bowl of this cereal from heaven right now and I couldn't be happier. It tastes exactly like I remember and they don't expire until jan.2010!! They'll be gone long before then, but thanks to amazon I can have them whenever I want!
