You need to try this cereal in order to form your own opinion. I eat this cereal every single day for breakfast. It is my favorite cereal and I absolutely love it! I have never thought the chocolate tasted waxy.. I make sure to eat every last chocolately piece in my bowl. My husband doesn't like it, and I buy the Vanilla Almond for him, and I've talked to other people who don't like it, but my personal opinion is that it is absolutely yummy. They usually have it on sale at Rite-Aid for 2 for $5 every couple weeks or so, and that is when I stock up on it.

After eating this product I promptly ordered a case of pepto bismol and toothpaste. Why the combo? Well first off I havn't had a solid turd in 3 days. Every 20 minutes my stomache starts to rumble, I run to the toilette and piss out of my [...]. If that wasn't bad enough, the fake chocolate left brown wax residue all over my teeth, so it looks like I just munched on a solid turd.

So some people didn't like that weird feeling the chocolate left in your mouth that people mentioned as a "waxy" feeling, but I personally enjoyed the taste of this a lot, and I bought this quite a bit until I realized there's trans-fat in the cereal.
In the ingredients, the cereal contains "PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED PALM KERNEL OIL", which for those who may not know, but anything "hydrogenated" contains a very small amount of trans-fat.
It may only be less than .5 grams and so in the nutrition panel, they can show that there's 0 trans fat in the cereal, but if you had 3-4 servings of chocolatey delight, you could very well be eating 1-2 grams of trans-fat. Just be forewarned.
Anyways, give the cereal a try if you haven't, and don't just think you'll hate the taste of it just because others didn't like the taste of it because I enjoyed the flavor of the cereal very much.

I realize that many people don't like this cereal because the chocolate is too "waxy" -- and I agree that it does have a waxier consistency than regular chocolate. But for some reason, I absolutely love this cereal and buy it constantly. I don't mind the consistency of the chocolate pieces when I'm eating it all together with the flakes and milk. I've really been hooked on this cereal for more than a year now, though I realize that it's not for everyone.

I bought this cereal recently. The flakes are good-they don't get too soggy. The chocolate, not so good. It left a thick waxy coating on the roof of my mouth. I didn't think the taste was bad overall, just didn't like the waxy feeling. I will finish the box, but I doubt I'll buy it again. I guess that's what I get for trying to eat chocolate for breakfast!
